Meet Meg

Hello, i’m Meg – the founder and owner of Scratch Kitchen Society, food scientist, and someone who has been completely obsessed with food for as long as I can remember.

My journey started in my moms kitchen, where I was a kid watching, asking questions, and eventually insisting on stirring, seasoning, and taking over entire meals. That curiosity quickly turned into a full blown passion. One that had me glued to the food network, testing recipes, taking notes and deciding this would be my future.

Fast forward a few years (and a couple degrees later), I built a career in the food industry as a product developer, working with some of Canada’s leading brands including President’s Choice, No Name, No Name Naturally Imperfect, GNC and Popey’s Supplements. Over the past decade I’ve helped bring hundreds of product to life. From functional foods and supplements to everyday grocery staples and leading everything from formulation to innovation and full scale commercialization.

But somewhere along the way I realized I didn’t just love creating food, I love talking about it, teaching it and sharing it with other.

That’s what led me to create Scratch Kitchen Society.

Today my work brings together all sides of my experience: hosting intimate supper clubs, offering private chef services, and working with brands and entrepreneurs through food consulting.

Whether I am developing new products or recipes, cooking for a group, or helping someone bring an idea to life, my goal is always the same to make food feel exciting, accessible, and deeply connected to people.

I’m especially inspired by local markets, producers and the creativity that comes from working with what is around you. Some of my best ideas have come from wandering a farmers market, with a coffee in hand and speaking to local vendors. That sense of curiosity and creativity is something I try to bring into everything I do.
